Voice your demo with ElevenLabs, play clips from 0.25× to 16×, and start a Series show from your own script.
New
Voiceover. Generate ▸ Voice speaks your script in an ElevenLabs voice: pick a language, preview voices, approve the price (0.15 per started 1,000 characters), and Add to timeline drops the line at the playhead on a Voiceover track. Your agent can write one line per step and place each under its moment.
Clip speed. A new Speed section in the inspector plays a video or audio clip, or a whole linked recording, anywhere from 0.25× to 16×, and sound keeps its pitch. Type a length into Fit into to land a clip on time, and tick Move later clips to carry the rest of the timeline along.
Start a show from your script. Paste a scenario with scene headings, action and dialogue: the writers’ room casts every speaker, sizes the episode from the script’s running time, plans it into shots word for word and tells you which lines it couldn’t place.
Re-plan a scene. Changed the script? Re-plan one scene or the whole board, and the panels you keep keep their takes.
The Drama format. Establishing and insert shots, camera moves from a slow push in to a crane or handheld, and off-screen (V.O.) lines for characters who are heard but not seen.
Designed voices. Describe a voice and Studio designs it with ElevenLabs. It becomes the voice every shot of that character is filmed with, and a character can be voice-only.
Picture finish. Give a whole show a matte, a grade, grain and a vignette, in the preview and the export.
Choose the show’s video model. Edit the show offers Wan 3.0 and Seedance 2.5 alongside MiniMax H3 Max, and H3 Max can shoot at 1080p, with the price shown per 8-second shot.
Improved
The writers’ room runs on your agent. Pitches, plans and punch-ups are written by your own Claude Code or Codex, so they no longer count against a daily assist allowance.
Dialogue shots start on their still. H3 Max dialogue shots now open exactly on the panel’s picture, with the cast’s references and voices.
No stale stills. Stills and takes made before an edit are marked out of date, the newest take shows, and Shoot all waits for stills that are still being drawn.
Episode sound. Music ducks under dialogue, and episodes export at −16 LUFS, a common loudness for streaming.
Choose your agent's model and thinking level from the Agent tab, and each project's conversation survives a restart.
New
Model and Thinking pickers. The Agent tab’s composer offers your connected agent’s own model and thinking settings. Changes apply between turns, and Studio remembers them for each agent.
Conversations that stay. Each project keeps its agent conversation on this Mac, messages and actions included, and picks it back up after a restart. New conversation starts fresh, and conversations idle for 90 days are cleared.
Long recordings now fit on the timeline whole: projects hold up to three hours.
New
Three hours per project. Add to timeline and drag and drop now place a long recording whole, instead of stopping at five minutes. Series episodes keep their five-minute length.
Improved
A timeline that scales. The ruler counts in hours on long projects, zoom still reaches about ten seconds across, and filmstrips spread across long clips.
Studio quits normally during the welcome tour, and the Projects screen stops showing a stray agent message.
Fixed
Quit during the welcome.⌘Q, the Dock and logging out now quit Studio while the welcome tour or the statistics question is open. An unanswered question simply comes back next launch.
A calm Projects screen. Studio no longer greets you with “Continue editing a project to use this action.” every time it opens.
Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode can now run Studio from your terminal, and the Agent tab connects with nothing extra to install.
New
Studio, from your terminal. Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode can now open and create projects, import files, record, edit, export and generate in Studio without you touching the window. Set it up once from Settings ▸ Agents: Set Up Agents Now, or Copy and Open Terminal to run the one command yourself. It registers Studio with every agent it finds and installs a skill that teaches them the ropes.
You stay in charge. Studio asks before an agent connects (or allow them always on this Mac), shows what the agent changed, and Undo agent changes rolls back its edits in one go.
Takes that polish themselves. When an agent records, it can crop to the action, mark where to look, cut the idle stretches and zoom to what changed.
A spending fence for agents. An agent can approve a paid generation only at the price you agreed to in its conversation, and never past a daily limit you set in Settings ▸ Agents (10.00 to start). Set it to zero to approve every charge yourself.
Improved
Nothing extra to install. The Agent tab now connects to your own Claude Code or Codex with a connector built into Studio, so there’s no Node.js or npm to set up. Install for me fetches the agent if you don’t have it yet, and Codex can sign in from inside Studio.
Fixed
Agents in more places. Setup now finds agents installed through mise, pnpm or Bun, and shows the sign-in command with the path it found.
Long turns, no false alarms. A long agent turn no longer claims Studio has stopped responding.
Outlined text reads cleanly, panels show when there's more below, and Series keeps track of episodes that went missing.
New
Missing episodes. If an episode’s folder is deleted or moved outside Studio, its show marks it Missing from this Mac and offers to remove it from the show.
Improved
Legible outlines. Text outlines now sit outside the letters, so outlined titles and captions stay crisp. Product ad headlines get a dark outline that reads over bright photos.
“More below” fades. Task and tool panels fade at the bottom while there’s more to scroll.
Approve, explained. In a generation review, the note on what Approve does stays right next to the button.
Tidier layout. Tiled windows reflow properly, the System audio track label fits, and Stop & edit scrolls your saved take into view.
macOS permission prompts stay out of your recordings, and Studio now installs from a proper drag-to-Applications window.
Improved
A proper installer. The download opens as an installer window: drag Studio to Applications and you’re set.
Clearer restart. The recording bar’s restart button now reads Keep & restart, because the take you leave behind stays in Media.
Quieter exports. A finished export now just says it’s exported, without a confusing note about unsigned Content Credentials.
Fixed
Permission prompts stay out of your take. When macOS asks about screen recording just as a take begins, Studio waits, drops that moment, and starts a fresh countdown once you allow it.
Studio 2.0 is rebuilt from scratch: one workspace, an agent that edits and builds you tools, price-first generation and Series.
Studio 2.0 is a new app, built from the ground up. It records the thing you made, lets the coding agent you already use cut it, and when the control you need doesn’t exist yet, your agent builds it. Recording, editing and export happen on your Mac, and they’re free.
Prefer to do it yourself? Every edit works by hand, with undo on every move. Studio 2.0 needs macOS 15 or later on Apple Silicon. It’s a clean start, so it doesn’t open projects from Studio 1.x.
New
One workspace. Your picture in the middle, the timeline below, Media and Agent on the left, Inspect and your saved tools on the right. Projects home remembers your work, and every edit autosaves.
Record with every track separate. Capture a display or a window with camera, microphone and system audio on their own tracks and one shared clock. Preview your screen and camera and test your microphone first, then use the floating bar to pause, restart or Stop & edit while you work in another app.
Include Studio, when you want it. Studio stays out of your recordings by default. Turn on Include Studio for a making-of; Include Studio audio is a separate switch.
Add commentary. Trim your demo, then choose Record → Add commentary: the edit plays muted while you talk, and you can Keep take or Retake this section.
Webcam styles. Circle, Oval, Rounded, Square or Wide, in three sizes and four corners. Restyle a kept camera clip from Inspect → Overlay style without recording again.
A real inspector. Crop, position, scale, rotation, opacity, masks, blur regions, cursor styling, text and shapes, audio gain and fades, with keyframes on the values that move.
Your agent, on the timeline. Connect Claude Code or Codex in the Agent tab, or press ⌘K to Ask your agent. It looks at your frames, cuts the waiting, zooms into the clicks and titles each step, and every edit lands on the timeline for you to tweak.
Tools your agent builds. Missing a control? Ask for it, or right-click a clip and choose Build a tool for this clip. Your agent writes the panel, it previews live, and nothing changes until you Keep tool and apply it.
Generate, price first. Images, MiniMax H3 Max video segments of 5 to 15 seconds from a still, and original instrumental music from 10 seconds to 5 minutes. Each request shows its price and waits for your OK, and results arrive as ordinary clips in Media.
Create a product ad. Start from one product photo: Studio writes three headlines you can change, you pick a look and a length, and Build my draft · free lays it out before you review the video and music price.
Series. Pitch a show in one line and the writers’ room drafts a world, a look and a cast. Give each character a face, outfits and a screen-tested voice, lock the sheet, plan the episode on the Board, watch the read-through as an animatic on your timeline, then Shoot all at once. Score the episode and generate a theme song, in one of twelve looks.
Export on your Mac. A 1080p MP4, landscape or vertical, rendered by the same engine as the preview. Free exports carry a small Studio badge; the Studio licence removes it.
A welcome tour and a sample project. A short tour on first launch, and a finished sample to take apart from Help ▸ Open Sample Project.
Improved
Money, not credits. Your balance and every price show in EUR, USD or GBP, and Add Funds opens right inside Studio. If a request costs more than you have, the review offers to add what’s missing.
A licence that includes generation. Buying the Studio licence now adds 10.00 of generation balance to your account.
Gentler licence checks. A licence check that fails can no longer delete your key, and a renewal key applies at once from its link or from Replace or update key.
Privacy, your call. Crash reports are explained on first launch, and anonymous usage statistics are strictly opt-in. Change either in Settings ▸ Privacy.
Contact Support from Studio. Help ▸ Contact Support… sends your message, with optional diagnostics and a screenshot.
Plan the video before you cut it, keep your post together after, and generate bridge shots with MiniMax H3 Max.
New
Brief and Post. Write down the app, the feature, the benefit and the call to action before you edit, then keep your post’s variants, cover and delivery file together once it’s exported.
MiniMax H3 Max. A new video model for generated shots, including a bridge shot between two cuts that starts on the last frame of one and lands on the first frame of the next.
Animated intros. A kinetic title intro built from exactly the words you choose.
Companion sync. Opt a project in and see it, with a rendered preview, in the Hubfluencer companion app.
Improved
Pick the canvas first. Choose 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:3 before a new project’s timeline opens.
Licences that look after themselves. A licence bought without an account now checks in on its own, so a renewal arrives without signing in.
Calmer forms. Every sheet in Studio got the same tidy layout, and the opening scene shows a canvas while it generates.
The first public Studio: record your app on your Mac and let your own coding agent cut it into a launch video.
Studio’s first public release: a native Mac app that records the app you built and lets the coding agent you already use do the editing.
New
Record your app. Capture a window or your whole screen with microphone and camera, or let your agent drive the iOS Simulator or a built-in browser while Studio records.
The Director. Ask your own Claude Code or Codex, from a panel inside Studio, to trim the take, zoom to the clicks and title each step.
A finished look out of the box. Device frames picked for each clip, a vertical cut that follows your cursor, keystroke overlays, and captions in any language your Mac can transcribe.
Export your way. Landscape and vertical MP4, HEVC, ProRes and GIF in one go, plus a share link anyone can watch without signing in.
Free, with a badge. Studio is free to record, edit and export. Free exports carry a small Studio badge; the Studio licence removes it.
